PURPOSE: INSPECT VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (VCM) AND BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) FOR MALFUNCTION
• Switch the ignition off/main power OFF, and then switch it ON (engine off)/(READY off).
• Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM) and body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is a DTC related to an internal malfunction displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See DTC TABLE [VCM].)
(See DTC TABLE [BCM].)

PURPOSE: FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR FOR MALFUNCTION
• Perform the DTC inspection for the following modules. (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See DTC TABLE [FSRL].)

PURPOSE: VERIFY IF FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR FUNCTION IS STOPPED DUE TO TEMPORARY INCREASE IN INTERNAL TEMPERATURE
• Start the engine and move the vehicle to a cool place.
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes

No
Explain to the customer that the front side radar sensor function stopped due to a temporary decrease in the internal temperature of the front side radar sensor, and then go to repair completion verification 2.

PURPOSE: DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR ON EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT
• Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
• Disconnect the front side radar sensor (RH) connector.
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the DTC inspection for the vehicle control module (VCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the front side radar sensor (LH), then go to the next step. (Refer to [FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
