Parking assist unit (ultrasonic) internal malfunction
Detection condition
• The vehicle control module (VCM) detects a parking assist unit (ultrasonic) internal malfunction.
Note
• The malfunction may also occur temporarily if the internal processing of the vehicle control module (VCM) becomes slow. If so, the unit returns to normal.
Fail-safe
Possible cause
1. Internal malfunction related DTCs are stored in the following modules.
― Vehicle control module (VCM) (See DTC TABLE [VCM].)
― Body control module (BCM) (See DTC TABLE [BCM].)
2. DTCs are stored in the parking assist unit (ultrasonic). (See DTC TABLE [PAU].)
4. Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM)) (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
Repeatability verification procedure
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
