System malfunction location

Rear side radar sensor (LH)/(RH) internal malfunction or poor installation
Detection condition
• When any of the following conditions is met.
― The vehicle control module (VCM) detects a rear side radar sensor (LH)/(RH) internal malfunction.
― The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that the rear side radar sensor (LH)/(RH) is installed poorly.
Fail-safe
Possible cause
1. Internal malfunction related DTCs are stored in the following modules.
― Vehicle control module (VCM) (See DTC TABLE [VCM].)
― Body control module (BCM) (See DTC TABLE [BCM].)
2. DTCs are stored in the following modules.
― Rear side radar sensor (LH) (See DTC TABLE [FSRL].)
― Rear side radar sensor (RH) (See DTC TABLE [FSRR].)
4. Incorrect rear side radar sensor installation (Refer to [REAR SIDE RADAR SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
5. Rear side radar sensor aiming adjustment malfunction (See REAR SIDE RADAR SENSOR AIMING.)
8. Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM)) (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
Repeatability verification procedure
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
