• The body control module (BCM) detects an open circuit in the washer motor circuit.
Precondition
• The washer motor is driven.

Possible cause
|
1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between body ground and body control module (BCM) (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
2. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between washer motor and body control module (BCM) (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
3. Washer motor malfunction (Refer to [WASHER MOTOR INSPECTION] in workshop manual.)
4. Body control module (BCM) malfunction (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)

Repeatability verification procedure
|
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
2. Operates the windshield washer or rear washer.
