Detection condition
|
• The dash-electrical supply unit detects a short to ground in tilt motor (seat) circuit.
|

Fail-safe
|
• Stops the tilt motor (seat).
|
|
Possible cause
|
1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between tilt motor (seat) and position memory control module (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
2. Driver-side front seat malfunction (tilt motor control circuit malfunction or tilt motor malfunction) (Refer to [FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
3. Position memory control module malfunction (Refer to [POSITION MEMORY CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
4. Dash-electrical supply unit malfunction (Refer to [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)

Repeatability verification procedure
|
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
2. Operate the tilt motor (seat).
