System malfunction location	Error signal received from power liftgate (PLG) drive unit (RH)
Detection condition	• The power liftgate (PLG) control module detects any of the following conditions. ― The power liftgate (PLG) control module detects that a pulse signal from the power liftgate (PLG) drive unit (RH) is stuck at HI or LO. ― The power liftgate (PLG) control module detects that a power supply voltage error of the power liftgate (PLG) drive unit (RH) rotation sensor continues for a certain period of time while the power liftgate (PLG) drive unit motor (RH) is operating.
Fail-safe	• Stops the power liftgate (PLG) system operation.
Possible cause	1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between power liftgate (PLG) drive unit (RH) and power liftgate (PLG) control module (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.) 2. Power liftgate (PLG) drive unit (RH) malfunction 3. Power liftgate (PLG) control module malfunction (Refer to [POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.) 4. Body control module (BCM) malfunction (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
Repeatability verification procedure	1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.) 2. Operate the power liftgate (PLG) system.
