• Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Perform the repair completion verification 2.

PURPOSE: VERIFY THAT THE VEHICLE AND REMOTE TRANSMITTER COMBINATION IS CORRECT
• Verify that the vehicle and remote transmitter combination is correct.
• Is the combination of the remote transmitters correct?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No
|
Re-register using the correct remote transmitters and perform the repair completion verification 1.

PURPOSE: RESET CONFIGURATION DATA FOR LF CONTROL UNIT
• Perform the LF control unit configuration using the M-MDS. (See CONFIGURATION.)
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes
|
Perform the LF control unit configuration again, then go to the next step.

No
|
Perform the repair completion verification 2.
|

PURPOSE: VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS SPECIFIC REMOTE TRANSMITTER
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is there a remote transmitter which indicates the same DTC?

Yes
|
Replace the remote transmitter which indicates the DTC and perform the repair completion verification 1.
|

No
|
Go to the next step.

PURPOSE: LF CONTROL UNIT FOR MALFUNCTION
• Inspect the applicable part. (Refer to [LF CONTROL UNIT INSPECTION] in workshop manual.)
• Is the part normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No
|
Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1.

Repair completion verification 1
|
PURPOSE: VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
• Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes
|
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the body control module (BCM), then go to the next step. (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)

Repair completion verification 2
|
PURPOSE: VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
• Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
|

No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
