Inspection

Results

Action

1
PURPOSE: VERIFY BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DTCs AGAIN
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Perform the repair completion verification 2.
2
PURPOSE: VERIFY THAT THE VEHICLE AND REMOTE TRANSMITTER COMBINATION IS CORRECT
• Verify that the vehicle and remote transmitter combination is correct.
• Is the combination of the remote transmitters correct?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Re-register using the correct remote transmitters and perform the repair completion verification 1.
3
PURPOSE: RESET CONFIGURATION DATA FOR LF CONTROL UNIT
• Perform the LF control unit configuration using the M-MDS. (See CONFIGURATION.)
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Perform the LF control unit configuration again, then go to the next step.
(See CONFIGURATION.)
No
Perform the repair completion verification 2.
4
PURPOSE: VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS SPECIFIC REMOTE TRANSMITTER
Note
• Perform the following procedure for all of the programmed remote transmitters.
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is there a remote transmitter which indicates the same DTC?
Yes
Replace the remote transmitter which indicates the DTC and perform the repair completion verification 1.
No
Go to the next step.
5
PURPOSE: LF CONTROL UNIT FOR MALFUNCTION
• Is the part normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1.
Repair completion verification 1
PURPOSE: VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
• Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure.
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
• Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM). (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
• If the malfunction recurs, replace the body control module (BCM), then go to the next step. (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
No
Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification 2
PURPOSE: VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
• Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
