Detection condition
|
• The body control module (BCM) detects an open circuit in the hood latch switch circuit for a continuous 2 times.
Precondition
• The hood closed.

Possible cause
|
1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between body ground and hood latch switch (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
2. Hood latch switch malfunction (Refer to [HOOD LATCH SWITCH INSPECTION] in workshop manual.)
3. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between hood latch switch and body control module (BCM) (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
4. Body control module (BCM) malfunction (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)

1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
