Detection condition
|
• The dash-electrical supply unit detects that tilt position sensor (steering column) signal circuit malfunction.
|
|
Fail-safe
|
• Inhibits the driving position programming, recall, and delete.
|
|
Possible cause
|
1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between tilt motor/tilt position sensor (steering column) and electric tilt/telescoping control unit (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
2. Tilt position sensor (steering column) malfunction
3. Electric tilt/telescoping control unit malfunction
4. Dash-electrical supply unit malfunction (Refer to [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)

Repeatability verification procedure
|
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
2. Operate the tilt motor (steering column).
