• The instrument cluster detects a short to ground in the trunk lid opener switch (interior)/power liftgate (PLG) front switch circuit.

Possible cause
|
1. Trunk lid opener switch (interior)/power liftgate (PLG) front switch malfunction (Refer to [TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH INSPECTION] in workshop manual.)
2. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between cluster switch No.2 and instrument cluster (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
3. Instrument cluster malfunction (Refer to [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
4. Body control module (BCM) malfunction (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)

Repeatability verification procedure
|
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
2. Close the trunk lid/liftgate.
3. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on)/main power ON (READY off or on) and wait for 2 min or more.
