Detection condition
|
• The dash-electrical supply unit detects a short to ground in the air intake actuator internal potentiometer circuit.
|
|
Fail-safe
|
• Air intake actuator drive signal is stopped right when the malfunction is determined.
|
|
Possible cause
|
1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between air intake actuator and dash-electrical supply unit (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
2. Air intake actuator malfunction (short to ground in potentiometer circuit) (Refer to [AIR INTAKE ACTUATOR INSPECTION] in workshop manual.)
3. Dash-electrical supply unit malfunction (Refer to [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)

Repeatability verification procedure
|
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
