Detection condition
|
• The electrical supply unit (ESU) detects a short to ground in the rear door latch switch (LH) circuit for a continuous 2 times.
Precondition
• The rear door (LH) closed (rear door latch switch (LH) off).

Possible cause
|
1. Rear door latch switch (LH) malfunction (Refer to [REAR DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR INSPECTION] in workshop manual.)
2. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between rear door latch and lock actuator (LH) and electrical supply unit (ESU) (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
3. Electrical supply unit (ESU) malfunction (Refer to [ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (ESU) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)
4. Body control module (BCM) malfunction (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)

Repeatability verification procedure
|
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
2. Close the rear door (LH).
