Detection condition
|
• The body control module (BCM) detects the intruder sensor internal malfunction.
|

Fail-safe
|
Theft-deterrent system stand-by preparatory mode, stand-by mode, alert mode, and alert preparation mode
• Ignores a signal from the intruder sensor. If stand-by preparatory mode is started within 3 s, the hazard warning lights flash 3 times.

Possible cause
|
1. Intruder sensor malfunction (Refer to [INTRUDER SENSOR INSPECTION] in workshop manual.)
2. Body control module (BCM) malfunction (Refer to [BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in workshop manual.)

Repeatability verification procedure
|
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
