  • If the electronically controlled brake unit stores a DTC, the PCM stores the same DTC or similar.
  • If the PCM stores a DTC even though the electronically controlled brake unit does not store a DTC, clear

Detection condition
• The PCM detects that the electronically controlled brake unit stores the following DTCs.
― B1048:23
Fail-safe
• Inhibits the i-stop control.
• Inhibits the regenerative braking control.
Possible cause
1. DTCs are stored in the electronically controlled brake unit. (See DTC TABLE [DSC].)
Note
• If the electronically controlled brake unit stores a DTC, the PCM stores the same DTC or similar.
• If the PCM stores a DTC even though the electronically controlled brake unit does not store a DTC, clear the DTC as it was for a past malfunction, and then complete the repair.
Repeatability verification procedure
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
2. Perform the KOEO self-test. (See DTC INSPECTION.)
