Rear buckle switch (center) circuit malfunction

Detection condition
• The electrical supply unit (ESU) detects an open circuit in the rear buckle switch (center) circuit for a continuous 2 times.
Precondition
• The rear seat belt (center) is unfastened.
Fail-safe
• Not applicable
Possible cause
1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between body ground and rear buckle switch (center) (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
2. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between rear buckle switch (center) and electrical supply unit (ESU) (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION.) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION.)
3. Rear buckle switch (center) malfunction (Refer to [BUCKLE SWITCH INSPECTION] in workshop manual.)
Repeatability verification procedure
1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.)
2. Unfasten the rear buckle switch (center).
